TLA News

Last month at annual conference, the TLA PR + Marketing Committee launched the campaign “Ideas Powered: It's What We Do" to showcase the innovation, leadership, and technology-centered work being generated in today's libraries.

Join the committee in raising awareness about libraries, and mark your calendar for POWER UP DAY at your library on Thursday, September 15, 2016, for a chance to showcase how libraries, digital learning, and communities come together.

A formal proclamation from Governor Greg Abbott is expected, which would declare Thursday, September 15th “Power Up at Your Library Day." The committee will add content and toolkit materials to help Texas libraries plan programs in celebration of this occasion. For more information, visit
