Registration is still open for the new season of the TLA series “A to Z: Diverse and In-Depth Training for Library Support Staff." This comprehensive training program is designed to enhance the job skills for many different support staff positions. Participants who take three core classes and two electives will receive a special certificate in Support Staff Training. While enrollees are welcome to take any of the online classes live, they may also receive full credit for watching recorded programs and taking short tests on the content. New material has been added for 2016-2017, making the online series more vital than ever for support staff in libraries.

Executive Leadership Class Announced

The Texas Library Association is proud to announce the first cohort of the new Executive Leadership Immersion. This seminar will provide new skills to current and aspiring directors and administrators, helping them to excel in high-level and senior leadership positions. The event will be held July 31-August 4 at the Omni Barton Creek in Austin. The primary instructor is Dr. Julie Todaro, soon to be President of the American Library Association.
