Benson Latin American Collection in HathiTrust
More than 500,000 books from the stacks of the Benson Latin American Collection (University of Texas), a trove of treasures related to Latin America, have been digitized and are now accessible online. The project is an extension of the University of Texas Libraries partnership with Google to digitize books and other literature to create a massive digital repository.

Copper Mountain Library Keeps Doors Open
In a unanimous decision, the Killeen, TX, City Council voted to amend its budget and maintain the Copper Mountain Library, one of only two facilities in Killeen's library system. Together with the American Library Association (ALA) and Public Library Association (PLA), TLA and local library supporters urged the City Council to reverse a proposal to close this branch that serves hundreds of residents daily. .
